Mission Statement | Project Pookela | Awards & Timeline
Project Pookela is directly responsible for more than in-house advantages. Kaanapali Beach Hotel has made great strides in cultural preservation and community service within the Hawaiian community as well as the tourist industry. These achievements are exemplified by the steady flow of awards and community commendations of the Kaanapali Beach Hotel programs.
In January, 1993, Kaanapali Beach Hotel was invited to a reception at the White House. It was the President's way to pay tribute to Points of Light recipients from all fifty states. Kaanapali Beach Hotel not only was selected to represent this State of Hawaii, but it was the only hotel in the Nation so recognized and the only business to be represented at that reception.
